Dixebra – a band with almost three decades of supercharged music featuring punk, rock, ska, hip hop, traditional Asturian sounds and language behind them are the next #33rpmvoices contributors under the spotlight.
Hailing from Aviles in the European community of Asturia, DIXEBRA (meaning division, isolation, independence) have recorded and released ten albums to date. In their lyrics the group deal with social, cultural and political issues, past and present in Asturias. DIXEBRA are also committed to promoting and preserving the Asturian language, choosing to sing in Asturian rather than in Spanish.
Their stunning contribution to 33RPM, La Danza, features heavy electric guitar, bagpipes, an uncompromising beat and an anthemic chorus.
